AGENDA
The University will aggressively focus on generation and dissemination of knowledge in society. Research and teaching will be directly linked: the University will actively ensure that teaching, and particularly undergraduate teaching, is not removed from contemporary research. The University will also develop a cutting-edge research park and business incubator to symbiotically leverage the knowledge community in the pursuit of practical innovations. The University research agenda will:
- Establish cross-disciplinary centers of excellence for creating knowledge in new areas
- Attract both young and established researchers and support them in achieving their academic goals
- Provide resources and facilities to support research at par with the best Universities around the world
- Develop mechanisms to involve students in research as an integral part of their learning
- Link with the best research centers around the world
- Forge industry partnerships in promotion of ideas and innovation
- Promote agenda-based research for enhancement of public services and governance
- Develop reward and incentive systems to promote research
