The President and the Provost are the ex-officio members of the Board of Governors and are the link between the University Administration and the Board of Governors. The President reports to the Board of Governors and is selected by them through an international search committee.

  • The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the University.
  • The role of the President is to manage the operations of the University including its budget, fund raising, relationship between the University and its internal (e.g., Faculty, student, staff and suppliers of goods and services) and external stakeholders (e.g., government, industry, society).
  • The President manages the academic operations through a Provost and the non-academic activities through a series of non-academic heads.

The Provost is the de-facto academic head if the institution. A Dean who reports to the Provost heads the College and Schools. The Deans are responsible for all academic and Operational activities as well as the growth and reputation of their respective schools. The President and the Provost may facilitate establishment of Centers of Excellence in emerging areas of academic interest or where the School would like to develop some focused strength. In addition, the Provost may appoint other Deans that have responsibilities across the College, Schools and Centers. These may include positions like:

  • Dean of Student Affairs

Academic Council represents the highest academic body for all academic policy deliberations, implementation of policies would require ratification of the faculty councils and represent the spirit of faculty governed academic institutions.

There may also be a forum like the Executive Council or the Senate comprising Deans & Full Professors that may form the think tank of the University for academic purposes.
